IT, Data and Security profiles
The AMF explores the opportunities offered by new technologies for carrying out its duties and anticipates possible changes to the ways of supervising financial players.
Financial and Auditing profiles
The AMF approves financial transactions and monitors throughout the year the financial disclosures made by companies listed on a regulated market. It monitors investment services providers and authorises asset management companies to conduct their business. It also protects savings invested in collective investment schemes.
Legal functions
The AMF is constantly updating its General Regulation and policies. It also helps to create new legal frameworks in conjunction with the legislator. It inspects, investigates, sometimes proposes transactions, monitors disputes and conducts sanction proceedings through its Enforcement Committee.
Support functions
Our support functions (HR, Communications, Corporate Finance, Administration) contribute to the smooth running of the AMF, its effectiveness and its external influence.
Asset management
The AMF approves and supports asset management companies in their projects. It ensures that collective savings products are compliant and properly marketed.
Listed companies
The AMF oversees the compliance of financial transactions and the quality of the financial information published by listed companies and securities issuers.
Financial market
The AMF regulates financial market infrastructure and intermediaries and monitors transactions for any abnormal events or conduct.
Investor protection
The AMF assists retail investors in their dealings in financial markets through innovative outreach initiatives.
International influence
The AMF contributes to the adaptation of the French regulatory framework and takes part in international and European projects. It produces studies and assessments on the general stock market trends.
Data
The AMF collects a considerable amount of information on the French firms under its supervision. This data is both varied and very large in volume. The AMF also relies on a big data platform on which all the data processing and visualisation work is carried out.
