The AMF collects a considerable amount of information on the French firms under its supervision. This data is both varied and very large in volume. The AMF also relies on a big data platform on which all the data processing and visualisation work is carried out.

- Supervising the successful implementation of regulations applicable to regulated firms
- Carrying out statistical analyses or theme-based studies on the data collected
- Taking part in steering or monitoring bodies for projects with an impact on AMF data
