AMF and SIGNAL SPAM sign investor protection partnership agreement

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) is working on various initiatives aimed at offering better protection for investors. One such initiative is today's signature of a partnership agreement with Signal Spam, the French national spam reporting platform.

Signal Spam is a not-for-profit association managed by public authorities, corporations and industry representatives. Since 2005, it has worked to encourage internet users to report any spam they receive in their email inbox. Based on these reports, Signal Spam provides digital economy participants and public authorities with information enabling them to take action against spam and cybercrime threats.

The partnership agreement was signed by Benoît de Juvigny, Secretary General of the AMF, and Louis Rouxel, Chairman of Signal Spam.

Under the terms of the one-year rollover agreement, Signal Spam will provide the AMF with any information arising from internet user reports on email frauds and scams concerning financial products.
