The AMF announces the appointment of Viet-Linh Nguyen as Head of the Strategy and Sustainable Finance Unit as well as Secretary of the Executive Committee

Viet-Linh Nguyen, currently Deputy Director of the European and International Affairs Division of the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate, has been appointed Head of the Strategy and Sustainable Finance Unit and Secretary to the Executive Committee. He will succeed Julie Ansidei who will leave the AMF on March 15, 2022.

Viet-Linh Nguyen, 38, began his career in 2008 as an Overseer on European payment instruments and head of the Single Europe Payment Area section at the Banque de France, specializing in international financial regulation. He was then appointed Head of the credit and operational and post-trade division in the International Affairs department of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution.

Seconded to the Treasury in 2014, Viet-Linh Nguyen was Financial Counsellor and Deputy Head of the regional economic service at the French Embassy in Japan. In particular, he launched and co-organized the first two editions of the French-Japanese Roundtables on sustainable finance in 2017 and 2018 and participated in the Agence France Trésor's roadshows on the launch of green OATs.

He joined the AMF in 2018 as Deputy Director of the European and International Affairs Division of the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate.

Viet-Linh Nguyen holds a Master's degree from Sciences Po Paris in Bilingual English Public Affairs and is an alumnus of HEC and Trinity College Dublin. He was a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris in the preparatory course for the competitive entrance exams, and is currently a lecturer at the École des Hautes Études Internationales et Politiques on financial regulation and international negotiations.
