AMF warns the public against fraudsters claiming to work for or represent it

The AMF is alerting the public to the activities of fraudsters claiming to work for or represent it who offer French investors the opportunity to trade on unauthorised binary option websites.

Individuals have informed the AMF after being contacted by persons who claim to be AMF employees or representatives in order to induce them to trade on binary option platforms and recoup previous losses made on similar sites. In return, investors are asked to transfer money to another binary option platform. Details of the bank accounts to which investors are asked to transfer funds are sometimes sent directly to them.

The procedure is a scam. The AMF's employees or representatives will never ask you for money. Accordingly, you should never respond to offers or requests from persons claiming to work for or represent the AMF.

The AMF recalls that misuse of its name is prohibited.

The AMF regularly updates its list of unauthorised websites offering binary option trading.
