Appointments in the Investigations Directorate and the Asset Management Directorate

Marianick Darnis Lorca, hitherto Deputy Head of the Investigations Directorate, has been appointed Head of Investigations. She takes over from Laurent Combourieu, who recently took charge of the AMF's activities relating to Chief Compliance and Internal Control Officers (RCCI) and Chief Investment Services Compliance Officers (RCSI).

Marianick Darnis Lorca joined the AMF’s Investigations Directorate in 2015 as an investigator. There she carried out several investigations on insider trading and financial information of listed companies. At the same time, she contributed to the creation of the Directorate's digital knowledge base. In December 2020, she was appointed Deputy Head of Investigations. In this capacity, she supervised a team of investigators and focused on making procedures more secure and capitalizing knowledge.

Marianick Darnis Lorca is a graduate of HEC Paris and the University of Paris I Sorbonne, and began her career at the end of 2003 in the Corporate Department of the Paul Hastings, a law firm where she worked on mergers and acquisitions, capital increases and capital restructuring. At the beginning of 2007, she joined Linklaters, a law firm where she worked on external growth and refinancing transactions and provided advice to listed companies on stock exchange law and governance issues.

Laurent Combourieu joined the Commission des Opérations de Bourse (COB) in 1999 as an investigator. In 2001, he became Head of Market Surveillance, a position he held when the Autorité des Marchés Financiers was created and contributed to the launch of a new market analysis tool, SESAM. In 2006, he was appointed Head of the Investigations Directorate. Over the years, he has ensured that the Department always has the necessary expertise and the appropriate tools to meet the challenges posed by investigations in ever-changing financial markets. 

In March 2022, Laurent Combourieu was appointed head of Chief Compliance and Internal Control Officer and Chief Investment Services Compliance Officer activities within the Asset Management Directorate. Chief Compliance and Internal Control Officers and Chief Investment Services Compliance Officers are the AMF's primary contacts for ensuring that asset management companies and investment services providers comply with the regulations.

A graduate of the Sup'Aéro engineering school, Laurent Combourieu began his career in 1992 at the French Armament Procurement Agency (Direction Générale de l'Armement), where he worked on international aeronautical programmes. After completing a Master's degree in Banking and Finance at the University of Paris Dauphine, he joined Crédit Lyonnais in 1998 as a financial analyst in the European airline sector.
