The Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) signs #JamaisSansElles Charter

The AMF is strengthening its commitment to gender equality by signing an ambitious charter co-constructed with #JamaisSansElles.

#JamaisSansElles was founded in 2016 by women and men entrepreneurs and is dedicated to promoting gender diversity through concrete actions. Its founding members and signatories have made an individual commitment to raising society's awareness of gender equality issues and the imbalances that prevail in many fields of activity.

This initiative is in line with the AMF's commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in the workplace in order to foster all talents at the institution. The various initiatives undertaken over many years have enabled the institution to achieve parity on its Executive Committee, have 50% of women in management roles and a professional equality index of 92/100.

For the AMF, this partnership with #JamaisSansElles takes its commitment one step further. The Charter has been signed by each member of the Executive Committee, who has made a commitment individually and on behalf of their team to refrain from taking part in any public demonstration, or media action or event, whether in-person or remotely, where subjects of common societal, political, economic, scientific or strategic interest are debated, discussed or judged, if not one woman has been invited to speak. Should this be unavoidable, a public comment must be made on the regrettable nature of the situation.

The AMF Board and Enforcement Committee, which have equal numbers of men and women by law (excluding representatives of organisations appointed ex officio), are fully committed to this approach.

I am fully convinced that diversity is a source of balance essential for society. I am very proud that the AMF has signed the #JamaisSansElles Charter. This allows us to give concrete expression to the initiatives we are taking in favour of professional equality, and positions us as a benchmark on these issues which are particularly valuable to me.
Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, Chair of the AMF
We are delighted to welcome the AMF and its Chair, Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, the first woman to head the Autorité, an institution newly committed to our movement. Together we are asserting our determination to promote gender diversity and shared governance, so that women and men can take their place in all areas of society and participate jointly in the management of human affairs. For #JamaisSansElles, feminism is humanism.
