Le Swave, France FinTech, the ACPR and the AMF join forces to organise the first FRENCH FINTECH WEEK

In 2020, French FinTech, InsurTech and RegTech players demonstrated their resilience. As a follow-up to this, France FinTech, the trade association for the sector, Le Swave, the first start-up accelerator dedicated to financial services, the ACPR and the AMF have announced the creation of French FinTech Week, an event-packed week to be held from 11 October to 15 October 2021.

Financial innovation is going through a crucial phase in its development. At a time when the economic crisis is increasing global competition between traditional, FinTech and BigTech companies, innovation is being driven by the development of new uses, consumer demand for innovative services, technological advances in data processing, and the construction of an appropriate regulatory framework. To meet the many challenges of this period, a multidisciplinary reflection involving all stakeholders is an opportunity to strengthen the position of the Paris financial centre.

Organised jointly by the supervisory authorities, an association representing the interests of entrepreneurs and an internationally renowned accelerator, participants at French FinTech Week will have an opportunity to discover the supervisory mechanisms in place during the ACPR and AMF Fintech Forum, backed by Banque de France, to visit the European Fintech Hub, the 5,600 m² extension of Le Swave's acceleration programme which will be opened at the end of the year, to take part in a half day devoted to start-up financing, to meet the most active FinTechs and major groups in the sector, and to discuss the defining trends in the industry during the Fintech R:Evolution flagship event.

The organisers are also putting out a call to all the players in their ecosystem to contact them by 30 May if they want to be included in the agenda of this week-long event aimed at strengthening the region's appeal and to place Paris at the heart of financial innovation in Europe.
