Nathalie Beaudemoulin appointed Coordinator for ACPR-AMF Joint Unit

Nathalie Beaudemoulin, henceforth responsible for coordinating the Joint Unit tasked with the business practices watch and supervision missions of the two authorities, succeeds Claire Castanet, Head of Investor Relations at the AMF and Coordinator since 2016 (1).

Édouard Fernandez-Bollo, Secretary General of the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), and Benoît de Juvigny, Secretary General of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), are announcing the appointment of Nathalie Beaudemoulin, Director of Business Practices Supervision at the ACPR, as Coordinator of the Joint Unit until 30 June 2020.

The Secretaries General of the two authorities would like to thank Claire Castanet for her commitment and the extremely high quality of the coordination with the ACPR teams headed by Olivier Fliche. During this period, the Joint Unit's working groups successfully completed a number of projects, including the redesign of the ABEIS website, the integration of digitalisation in the collection of customer information, the supervision of crowdfunding, and work on vulnerable populations.

On July 1 2018 Nathalie Beaudemoulin succeeded Olivier Fliche as Director of Business Practices Supervision at the ACPR. Nathalie Beaudemoulin joined Banque de France in 1995, working as banking controller and Head of Accounting Studies and then as Deputy Director of Authorisations at the ACPR. She has been Coordinator of the ACPR's Fintech-Innovation Division since June 2016.

She will be heading the Joint Unit at a crucial time, as today's technological and regulatory changes make coordination between the two authorities more vital than ever. In this dynamic context, the aim will be to reconcile innovation and consumer protection, with the diversification and digitalisation of business strategies requiring the enhanced promotion of the respect of the obligations of professionals towards their customers.

The Joint Unit, created in 2010, is a mechanism for the coordination of the business practices watch and supervision missions of the ACPR and AMF. The Joint Unit seeks to identify as early as possible the main risks to which customers may be exposed and works to ensure that the interests of customers are always taken into account by professionals. It also provides a single contact point for customers in the banking, insurance and financial sectors comprising a call centre and a specific website:
