AMF Chair: Proposal to appoint Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani
Yesterday, the President of the Republic put forward the name of Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani to chair the AMF. He has referred the proposal to the Assemblée Nationale and Sénat, which must give an opinion on it.
Upon the proposal of the Prime Minister, the President is considering appointing Marie-Anne BARBAT-LAYANI as Chairperson of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers. In accordance with Article 13 of the Constitution, the competent standing committees of the two houses of parliament must first be consulted. The proposed appointment has been referred to the President of the Assemblée Nationale and the President of the Sénat.
