The AMF warns the public against fraudulent communications offering investment services impersonating Financière du Nogentais

Following the report made by Financière du Nogentais, whose name has been misused, and the publication in the press of false advertisements, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) is calling for the utmost vigilance regarding any investment offers made using the name Financière du Nogentais. This company does not provide investment services to the public.

Alerted by the management of Financière du Nogentais and by a press group about the existence of fraudulent communications and advertisements using the name of Financière du Nogentais to promote investment services, the AMF has added the website www.gestion.finance to its blacklists. This website, which is not authorised to offer investment services, is posing as Financière du Nogentais, which does not provide any investment services to the public. The communications related to this website also claim that it is a regulated entity supervised by the AMF, which is not the case.

The AMF therefore encourages investors to ignore these publications and any solicitations from www.gestion.finance or any entity that advertises its investment services under the name Financière du Nogentais.

More generally, the AMF advises retail investors to apply a few rules of vigilance before making any investment:

  • Be aware that impersonation is frequent, widespread and easy;
  • Do not give in to urgency or pressure from your contact, take time to consider thoroughly;
  • Do not give out your personal details (telephone number, e-mail address, identity documents, bank details, IBAN, proof of address, etc.) to websites that you are not certain are reliable;
  • Be wary of promises of rapid gains without no quid pro quo; there are no high returns without high risk;
  • Ensure that your contact and their company are authorised to operate in France;
  • Carry out checks, in particular by consulting the AMF blacklists.
  • If you have any questions, you can contact AMF Epargne Info Service by telephone on +33(0) 1 53 45 62 00 from Monday to Friday, 9am to 12.30pm (local call charges apply) or by filling in the form.
