Focus on inDECx: the new tool to be used when interacting with the AMF during an inspection or investigation

A tool to manage exchanges of information more effectively

The AMF’s Investigations and Inspections Directorates are using a new service for processing documents collected during their assignments: inDECx.

This tool is used to manage exchanges of information with people and entities contacted during an inspection or investigation. It functions as an online storage space with a high level of security.

The new inDECx platform is currently used – for some inspections (switchover in progress) and all investigations – in parallel with the Sesterce information exchange tool, which it should eventually replace for document collection.

How to use inDECx

Each time a request is sent to a person or entity, inDECx generates an email containing:

• the information requested by the investigators or inspectors
• a secure link to the exchange platform provided software company Oodrive, the gateway to the inDECx platform.

Each entity contacted has a document folder in which to file its responses. This document folder is secure and only visible to the person or entity to which the request relates.

The filed documents are then sent to the investigation and inspection system and deleted from the exchange platform. 

Good to know

• A second email is generated at the same time as the one containing the information requested by the investigators or inspectors. This email is used to validate the login and password of the person or entity contacted.
• The link contained in the email (in the format https://amf.oodrive.com/) may be blocked by firewalls and security systems, so may need to be unblocked and whitelisted.
• The inDECx application is still being developed and will soon be expanded with new features.
