Open Data: publication on data.gouv.fr of the list of Asset Management Companies (AMCs) authorized by the AMF, of the white lists of Digital Asset Service Providers (DASPs) and offers of investments in miscellaneous assets
Since 2022, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) has been gradually expanding the scope of data made available to the public for free and in a standardized format (Open Data). The AMF makes available on data.gouv.fr, the French government's platform for disseminating public data, the list of asset management companies authorized by the AMF, as well as the white lists of Digital Asset Service Providers and offers of investments in miscellaneous assets.
Sharing three new lists
In May 2022, as part of its ICData strategy, the AMF began sharing its data assets by opening up data on net short positions to the public. Since July 2023, it has also been sharing its blacklists of unauthorized companies that offer financial investments to French residents.
The AMF expands the range of data freely downloadable from data.gouv.fr, with the open data publication of three lists of companies and offers authorized or registered by the AMF:
the list of Asset Management Companies (AMCs) authorized by the AMF;
the white list of Digital Asset Service Providers (DASPs) registered or authorized by the AMF;
the white list of offers of investments in miscellaneous assets (wine, forest, etc.).
Promoting the distribution and use of lists
Making data available as Open Data is a way for the AMF to share its data assets for the benefit of a wide range of audiences (professionals, retail investors, public administrations and regulators, financial researchers, etc.).
The addition of these three new lists on data.gouv.fr ensures a wider dissemination of this information for a better protection of investors. The files are regularly updated and fully downloadable for automated data processing.
The AMF will gradually continue to make data freely accessible.
