Summary of SPOT inspections on the ESMA-coordinated supervisory action on the valuation of UCITS and AIFs (less liquid asset classes)

As announced when presenting its supervision priorities for 2022, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) took part in the ESMA-coordinated Common Supervisory Action (CSA) on the valuation of UCITS and AIFs. Following liquidity management in 2020 and costs and fees in 2021, the 2022 CSA focused on the valuation of less liquid asset classes. The purpose of the operation was to review the valuation policies, procedures and methods of asset management companies in order to ensure appropriate valuation of assets in normal and stressed market conditions.
