The AMF reacts after a news article and a press release by the AB Science group

The Autorité des Marchés Financiers takes note of a news article concerning an ongoing investigation conducted by its services into AB Science’s share price and a press release issued by this company.

In an article published on 21 November 2019 in Les Echos, entitled "AB Science in the viewfinder of the financial policeman", elements allegedly "reported" by AMF investigators are cited.

In a press release published on the 22 November 2019 following this article, AB Science "is puzzled to read in the press an inaccurate and unfounded statement of the AMF investigators [...] despite the fact that the investigation is still ongoing and that no formal grievances have been notified ".

The AMF declares that its investigators have obviously not released any information to the press. These allegations are seriously prejudicial to the honour of its employees, whose professional ethics have thus been called into question.

The AMF points out that it never comments on ongoing individual cases, whether they are investigations, requests for authorisations or corporate financing.
